The lonely girl logged in the scene, cherishing the world's individual colors. Her only target right now is to go to the most optimal place she desired to go--consistently. What is the name, you ask? Why, the Karasu River, of course. Relaxing won't hurt, right? She planted herself on the blade of grass and began to dip both of her feet in the surface of the glistening water. Currently, she feels so delightful that she dropped by in here. But, a raging storm of loneliness was attacking her as well.
Green, piercing eyes surveyed the place, no one was apparently here. This girl shook her head, her side bangs reacting on the movement at the same time. The sun was announcing that it is a spectacular day. Seriously? A spectacular day? Well then, why does she keep on firing compliments at the river? Some people might think she is weird; that is when they are accompanying her, but that's her activity when boredom gains upon her rapidly.
Utterly dissatisfied in doing these random things all the time, she decided to leave now. She stood up and dusted her clothing even when there is no dirt embedded on them. Carelessly, she forgot to stuff her feet in her shoes. Inevitably, she slipped and was face down in the slippery grass. In the midst of the silence, she was lashing herself out. 'Fool, fool, fool!', she scolded to herself as she tried her best to improve her appearance. When it was accomplished, she stomped her feet on the ground repeatedly. This is not her day.

Hitsugaya had his cell phone out with the small screen in his face. He was tracking the reiatsu of all the children he had decided to watch over. Each person had their own little unique color on the cell phone ranging from a light pink to a dark blue. However, as Hitsugaya was slowly walking along side the road, he noticed another reiatsu appear on the map of the area. It wasn't color coded like the others and it certainly wasn't a hollow as it wasn't a blood red color. He certainly knew there were people with spiritual awareness, however not many had enough to show up on his phone most of the time.
Curious, Hitsugaya wandered over to the side of the road and looked over the railing to see a pink haired girl seemingly having a temper tantrum over something. He rolled his eyes slightly and checked back with his phone. Yes, the position of the girl and the dot was unmistakenly the same so it had to be her. While his main duty was to protect the children, others with such spiritual awareness were just as important. He couldn't believe an immature girl like her could possess any spiritual awareness.
There was no doubt she could see him, however he was in his gigai at the moment adorning his normal black polo shirt along with his faded jeans. He didn't exactly want to contact the girl, however would rather see her reaction while he was around. Of course even being in a gigai didn't mean all of your spiritual pressure was hidden and if she was as aware as his phone said so, she would certainly notice. Hitsugaya skidded down the small incline slowly and sauntered over past the girl to a nearby tree.
He simply sat down and leaned up against the tree with one leg outstretched and the other tucked in. Looking at the setting sun, he wondered if she would notice him, but if not then perhaps his phone was actually broken. If it was, he would have to remember to yell at his vice captain for not properly fixing it. He wondered where Matsumoto had gone, he hadn't seen her after the Gotei 13 were disbanded. Truth be told, he missed her quite a bit, even though she could be a little too childish sometimes and over react. Come to think of it, he didn't even get to know his current vice captain that much since he's been away to the human world so many times. He made a mental note to remember to do so when he went back to Soul Society.
He brushed his white hair and let out a deep sigh as he gazed at the sunset. It definately reminded him of Momo...and come to think of her to, he hadn't seen her for years and years. He had avoided her purposely, almost fearing what she would be like when he met her again after the whole Aizen incident. He wished sometimes he could go back to his childhood.

Never did this transpire. The incident a while ago must have prompted her uncharacteristic behavior. Well, there are also times when she sided that attitude, but not that much. Before she could even do something worse, she felt a reiatsu. Her imagination? No, she was wrong. Somehow, something or someone was leaving a gust of wind behind her hair as well. As if by chain reaction, a chill ran down unto her spine alongside with a sweat laden forehead.
As the foolish girl took a quick look at the layout of her surroundings, there she spotted a boy---who seemed so relaxed right there on a tree that was just an inch away from her. He reminded her of Itonoshii, her crush from before. Well, her hopes were inclining her from talking to that boy, what if both of their attitudes are similar? Maybe not. There is no harm in trying, correct? She couldn't believe that a white-haired boy like him could stop by in this place.
"Uh... hi."
She gulped, feeling utterly worried on what will befall next. Perhaps, everything will be turning out just fine. Train of questions are running through her head and somehow, they were all left unanswered. What is he doing here? Where does he come from? Where do all of the Hollows come from? Is he one of those guys who wear those black kimonos? Asking all of these questions to him might result in making him think that she is nosy and a girl who can provoke a person that easily.
Though, she was hoping that she couldn't pack a punch at him when he is going to throw a bad description at her, but she knew that she couldn't resist in doing that. Her forehead is one of those examples. Regardless of that, she was making too much of a fuss earlier. Oh, let's disregard that thought, shall we? With deft hands and fearless motions returning to her, a smile was affixed upon her face as she inched closer to him.
"By the way, I'm Sakura Haruno. You are?"

Hitsugaya sat silently taking in the environment The ever glowing rays of the sun cast down upon the wavering grass. The calm wind blowing ever go gently. He took a look at his phone still and noticed the ever so present and mysterious reiatsu dot begin to approach him. He quickly shut the phone with a click and placed it in his right jean pocket. He turned his head ever so slightly to see the pink haired girl approach him.
"Uh... hi."
She seemed rather nervous and for good reason to. She had no clue who he was and sensing his reiatsu was probably a bit more un-nerving to feel. He wouldn't be surprised to have her ask some questions or indirectly try to ask them without him noticing her real intent. He was inclined to say something but rather studied her face. She had mixed emotions on her face and he couldn't quite tell exactly what she was feeling or thinking about.
He didn't know quite exactly who she was other than just another human with some considerable spiritual awareness. Perhaps she was related to Kurosaki? Perhaps, but he highly doubted it, he'd rememebred and seen all of them earlier today and besides he had been watching them since they grew up. THat was definatly ruled out. Maybe a good friend of one of them? Then again he hadn't really seen her at all. Maybe once or twice, but he hadn't really noticed her.
He soon noticed her smiling face. She sure was happy all the time even though she was just complaining about something before he arrived down by the tree. It might have been just her way of hiding her real feelings but a lot of people did that. He on the other hand never really showed his emotions to people. Then again he though many didn't act as mature as they should. His mind immediatly thought back to Matsumoto, however he really did enjoy her being his vice captain.
"By the way, I'm Sakura Haruno. You are?"
He waited for a moment to catch a few more rays from the glowing sun before beggining to speak.
"I'm Hitsugaya..." He stopped short when he remembered he was in the human world. How could he have been so stupid?
"Toshiro..." He finished quickly with his first name. He didn't like people calling him by it, however it was mostly how the humans addressed each other. He would let her make the first move. He didn't want to appear suspicious but then again his hair and eyes didn't exactly look normal in the human world. He was surprised she had even come over to him, normally his white hair and deep emerald eyes were enough to keep people away, even fellow Shinigami.

Then, her eyes strenuously observed the bizarre image of his appearance. Somehow, she doesn't feel so desolate anymore, she thought that she was the only individual who has the queer, agonizing, green eyes; even the pink hair of hers is included in the eccentric assemblage. Her thoughts dispersed and instantaneously, illuminating her ogle back at the sunset.
Sakura's jurisdiction to speak was being lured into the dark. The breathtaking sunset somehow showered its rays on the slippery, blades of grass. This lieu is so free from stuffy air. She was wishing that this could be her abode, this is the most advantageous place to stay---that is, according to her. Her energetic ingredient came back to her; it doesn't mean that she will abruptly become hyper.
"The sunset reminds me of my childhood friend."
The mischievous girl stated with a grin. Actually, she doesn't have a childhood friend, not even one. Although, she meant the boy she had a crush on back in her former days. Itonoshii Katanashi. Since, she direly wanted to avoid in arriving to another high embarrassment level, she just replaced the words, "the boy I had a crush on" to the words, "my childhood friend". That's settled.
This is the only mightily tempting location she can use wherein she can be more conservative of the twilight, the sun or the sunset than her problems; last, but not the least, the only place in the map that can cope with her boredom. She was praying with volition every morning in here that she will interact with humans more nicely than her consistent personality.

Hitsugaya almost froze when she had mentioned childhood friend in her sentence. His eyes slightly widened at the mere thought of it. There was no way she could know who he was...no not at all. It was probably just a fluke, a coincidence. He quickly shook the odd feeling out of his mind and regained his composure. He didn't know whether to say something or keep quiet. Her comment had definately sparked his mind into thinking.
He looked over to her now fully turning to view her. She had beautiful pink hair that was flowing along in the wind. The sun's glow illuminated her bright grin as Toshiro studied her face. She seemed rather happy for some reason or another that he couldn't quite put a finger on. He looked back to the sunset and slightly sighed.
"It brings back memories." He murmured looking back at the sun. True it definatly did bring back memories. Did this girl have contact with any Shinigami? He wondered if she had met anyone. Momo was the first that came to mind. Was Momo actually looking for him after all these years? Perhaps, his mind slightly fluttered around thinking of her. Perhaps she regained her sense of direction, Hitsugaya would definately like to reunite with his long childhood friend.
He was still curious about the girl. He brushed the grass with his left hand for a moment before looking back at the smiling girl. He wondered why he never noticed her here before. He always came down here to watch the sunset and sunrise. He never did check the reiatsu on his phone either so thats probably one reason he didn't notice her before.
Hitsugaya kept silent and removed his phone every so often to check the map. Everytime he opened the screen, it was just his and her reiatsu that displayed. He had wondered if any more hollows were going to be approaching as their appearance began to become more common around. His mind wandered to if this girl had ever encountered a hollow before. He couldn't ask such questions without raising her suspicion though so he kept to himself.

"I wonder what his reaction will be when I talk to him again. He seems to avoid me intentionally after our..... incident."
Sakura didn't emphasize the word "incident" that much. She prayed that he won't ask any further questions about it. Though, she just wanted to share some part of her feelings to someone rather than just letting them all flow out like a waterfall from her eyes. The sunset sure does bring back wonderful memories and in fact, they were pursuing her. Itonoshii rejected her. Plus, he truthfully refrained from going to the lieus that Sakura has always dropped by. Well, decisions are decisions.
She can't believe that she profited such feelings. She must have been acting rather strange at the boy beside her, but never does she mind. This day was going surprisingly well despite of the event happening at the prior. Sakura was pondering now. Where could he have been? There was, of course, a downside if he sees her face to face again; besides, he was thinking that she is superstitious. So, all she needs to do now is to hope that he was just fine and nothing bad transpired around him.
The time passed, but was unnoticed. The world keeps revolving around until some people will reach their limit. While her, she lived in an abnormal life in fighting Hollows that kept on appearing from nowhere that seems to attack innocent humans. Who is this boy anyway? She have to admit, she never seen someone with white hair----maybe he is really one of the people who wear those black kimonos. No other possibility existed. But, she may be mistaken. Then again, would it hurt to ask?
"I know this is kinda weird.. but, are you one of the people who wear those black kimonos?"

This girl, Sakura seemed to be reflecting back about something that happened. Perhaps thats why she looked so sad since he saw her. She seemed to be full of emotion and seemed to have an issue with another friend. Perhaps she fell for someone and they rejected her? Hitsugaya remembered witnessing his fair share of relationships while watching over most of the children while they grew up. He knew all too well the heartbreaks he had seen them go through, however eventually it all worked out in the end for each of them.
She seemed to try to hide the fact she was dwelling on her friend, however behind her smile he could tell that her thoughts were eating away at her. He remembered when he took time in his own quarters without disturbances to dwell on past events. In particular, he thought about Momo during this time. He recalled the one time he sat at his desk filing some paper work when Matsumoto had burst into his office when he had clearly told her that he wanted to be left alone. He sternly told her like always, however had a bit more bite to his normal tone. Matsumoto understood from what he remembered since it was only a little while after his incident with Momo.
Hitsugaya listened as Sakura rose a question he knew she would, however not so bluntly. He didn't flinch at all at the question aimed at him and simply looked at her with his normal, un-emotional face. He simply shrugged ever so slightly.
"Who knows." His casual comment. It wasn't a question, but simply a statement he enjoyed saying all the time when he didn't want to answer a question. In fact, he would've have told her an answer, but didn't know to what extent she had been exposed. It was quite clear she knew that Shinigami existed. Did this mean she had witnessed a hollow then as well? There would have been no reason to see another Shinigami in the human world unless they were fighting a hollow. He never heard of any news that other Shinigami were to be watching Karakura town other than himself. Perhaps they were special ops forces since they were always given other directives.
His phone started beeping frequently as he pulled it out in a haste. He flipped it open to notice a red dot a few blocks down from them. He was about ready to get up and leave when the red blip faded away. The beeping stopped and the reiatsu scanner went dead. Well it didn't show the hollow anymore, only the two of them. Hitsugaya pondered what had happened. He'd seen it before, perhaps it attempted to pull through to the human world, however couldn't fully emerge. It happened a lot since the barrier started fading, however sometimes the stronger hollows would get through. He placed the phone away disreguarding the problem.

Maybe he is not, but no doubt his reiatsu became intrusive in the midst of her current thoughts. Sakura tried to monitor on what was transpiring around here; to not let her guard down. After all, a Hollow can also perform a surprise attack. Beads of sweat began to trickle down in both sides of her head as she felt another column of reiatsu in the near distance which is a fair indication of a Hollow's current location. She found herself moving in that direction, although she wasn't sure how.
Will she leave him here? Sakura was still not sure how she was going to manage her direct flight. It wasn't just her conception, but he was kinda ready to stand up just after he stared at his cellphone. Whatever, she needs to halt the particular Hollow. Somehow, its reiatsu vanished. She realized that she stood up for a long time. She knew that she has to cover up excuses on why she instantly stood up. As she was pretending to dust the back of her clothing, she sat down again.
"Sorry, there's some kind of dirt at my back... yeah."
She nervously lied, angry that the Hollows are always changing course at random and sometimes misses the chance to kill them. It seems like everyday, her mere maneuverability is to devour them without hesitation. Her heart thrummed with anticipation, obviously hoping that he will believe in her lie. As she nipped her lower lip, she stared at the grass that was ruling the grounds while the wind influenced their movements. The water seems to laugh hysterically as they were running endlessly; producing shimmers that blinds a person's eyes.
Sakura was too preoccupied with these appearances that she forgot about the boy, Toshiro.

Hitsugaya watched the girl's sense perk up slightly as he placed his phone away. Apparently she had sensed the disturbance in reiatsu through her senses. Now he was quite certain that she was adept at such spiritual awareness. He watched as she brushed her back off, or attempt to even though there was hardly any dirt or grass clung to her. That was easily another hint that she was trying to cover up something, obviously her spiritual awareness.
"You can sense it can't you...Sakura?" He murmurred slightly as he analyzed her face. She seemed rather angered at something, perhaps the fact that the hollow dissappeared. Was she that adept at fighting hollows? At first glance she didn't seem like a typical fighter. Was there something to her, perhaps some special ability he couldn't see? Did she keep it hidden all the time? These questions began to pester the back of his mind as he watched the sun finish setting in the distance. He looked away for only a moment.
The street lights flickered on as normal and bathed the pavement behind the two. The wind was rather creepy at night, however it didn't bother Hitsugaya too much. The water waves crashed against the stone wall every so often and made a 'swish' noise. The leaves in the trees rustled a bit as another gust of wind went by. Hitsugaya felt his hair waver slightly in the wind as he lifted his hands behind his head to relax slightly.
Returning his gaze back to her, he studied her eyes for any sign or clue to his answer, even though he knew what the truth was. Now it all came down to whether she denied it, embraced it, or tried to hide it.

[[OOC: Sorry for the delayed reply. ><;; At any rate, I want to make this exciting. xD]]
You can sense it can't you...Sakura?
"Yeah... a while ago."
Sakura approximately hesitated to answer, but at least she was letting it out anyway. Her humongous forehead was now filled with foams of sweat as the sunset broke its bond with the sky ephemerally. It's over now? That's just too bad, she still wanted to contemplate with the yellow and orange hues of it -- at least for a little while longer. By then, night has to enter and it's too unnecessary and absurd to deny it. It was getting dark. Well, some people are frightened by the darkness, but for Sakura, she doesn't even cringe in one shard.
She realized that they were the solitary individuals here. No other. At least she was still guaranteed company with this white-haired boy beside her. Why, she can't even reckon on how many times she threw gazes at him. It's just that something was bothering her about him. Still, she doesn't have the guts to throw a query that concerns the people with those costumes at him. This is not the time for her to be nosy either. She feels so bored -- and exhausted despite of letting her sit-spots rest on anything that is possible for sitting. How she wished that another Hollow might appear.
Something crashed and destroyed objects that was getting on its way. Bingo! It's obviously a Hollow. It released a growl, as if making a warning. Sakura stood up and was preparing her fists, ready for any attack the Hollow might offer. Though, she doubted that she will be received an attack -- that is, as long as that particular Hollow is not a very strong one. Wonderful, another ordeal for her strength. She was focalizing on her own current profession, abandoning Toshiro's existence for a while. While fueling herself with much energy, she was ready to attack -- or maybe Toshiro will be the one to attack.
Too late, she already jumped as high as the air could boost her and yelled out the word 'Jinchuuriken' before her fist had too much strength and punched a tree. She missed; the Hollow avoided the attack. The tree broke like a glass window while it's leaves were already free to sail away. "Kuso...", she exclaimed silently as she jumped high again and was doing the same thing. This time, she was hitting the Hollow's head; finally, she was hitting on the valid target. While growling, it dispersed on it's own accord until there was nothing left. To her, her strength didn't develop.
"That's just great... I punched a tree..."

Hitsugaya could now be safe to say that Sakura knew what he was talking about. It was just the process of finding out how much she has had exposure to spiritual entities. He felt another reiatsu somewhere near and checked his phone once again. It showed nothing except for the two of them. Soon he heard familiar crashes of trees and other objects around him. He swished his head of white hair around to notice a hollow. It must have been the one from earlier...so it must have gotten through the barrier.
He shut his phone and cursed slightly under his breath. He wouldn't definatly need to get his phone fixed. Perhaps he could find someone more reliable to fix it other than his Vice Captain. The intelligence agency? Perhaps, they were always up to date and good with technology. He soon thrust his small check list out of his head. His Shinigami self emerged from his Gigai in his typical Captain's uniform.
He looked to see that the girl had already left and charged at the hollow. He went to grab her, however was too late to. What a fool, what could she possibly do to a hollow? She could see them yes, but fight them? That was a different story. She did have an abnormal amount of reiatsu, however was it enough for her to gain any powers from? He watched as she leapt into the air. He watched her miss the first punch as her fist blasted a tree.
His eyes slightly widened as the tree became obliterated pieces of confeti. Perhaps she had more in her than he had first though. She leapt again and this time her punch connnected. The hollowed couldn't even howl out in pain as the punch annihilated its face. He quickly took the opportunity to flash step in a moments notice to the hollow. His body became a blur for a moment before re-appearing near the falling hollow.
He twirled his Zanpakuto from his sheath and sliced horizontally, slicing the remnants of the hollow's stomach. The hollow soon began to degenerate as light blue sparks fluttered up to the sky. He sighed slightly before placing his weapon back into place.
"You realize you can't cleanse a hollow like that. Only a Zanpakuto can do it. You've just been defeating them to let them come back." He looked at her in a slightly stern fashion as he always did when he lectured someone. His coat waved as the wind passed by for a moment. Well, she had one answer to her question. He was indeed one of those people in the black kimonos. A Soul Reaper...A Shinigami...A Captain.
